New Jingle Tells of a Fun Life with Jack ‘n Jill
With an upbeat rhythm and catchy lyrics that describe how colorless one’s life can be without a beloved companion, the new Jack ‘n Jill jingle perfectly depicts how life is made much more meaningful with Jack ‘n Jill. The infectious song, written by Kartoon Chemistry’s lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Chochai Magno, is seamlessly integrated in the latest Jack ‘n Jill television commercial which features 14 vignettes that paint everyday yet precious moments all shared with Jack ‘n Jill. There’s a young woman relishing her solitude, a couple sharing a kiss under the sun, an adventurer exploring the outdoors and even a family gathered for a picnic. Different people, different situations, different lives. But there’s only one brand that brings total fun and enjoyment through quality products that have been with us for the past forty years. Life is definitely much more fun with Jack ‘n Jill around.
And what could be a better definition of fun than an afternoon spent jamming with friends who also happen to be band mates sharing a passion for music? Up and coming band Kartoon Chemistry would definitely agree that such warm and heartfelt moments would be hard to beat.
These homegrown talents from University of the Philippines’ Los Baños have definitely come a long way from their early days when they became one of the ten finalists of Yamaha and MTV Band Alert. Armed with their personal music style and innate flair for songwriting, the quartet has earned the nod of Jack and Jill executives and agencies with their original piece Saya ng Buhay.
“We’re inexplicably happy and proud that our song was chosen as Jack ‘n Jill’s new jingle. Syempre, Jack ‘n Jill yun eh! We grew up eating and loving Jack ‘n Jill, baon ko yun noon sa school!” Chochai admitted with a smile. “Now, sa gigs and gimmicks naman,” she added.
Together with her band mates Mel Cabral on lead guitar, Mike Almero on drums and Lep Ceballo on bass, Chochai rearranged the music of their personal composition to suit Jack ‘n Jill’s theme Life is Fun. hay salamat..! tagal ko na pong hinahanap lyrics nitong song na to. gus2ng-gus2 ko sya talaga. sa sobrang desperado kong masabayan ang song jina-jot down ko pag pini-play sa mga radio stations kaso first half lng ang nakuha ko. at nalagyan ko sya ng chords! ewan lang kung tama yun pero katunog naman e.. hehe! congrats sa Kartoon Chemistry, ganda ng voice ng vocalist!
