It’s time to share the knowledge and wisdom Mr. John Gokongwei accumulated in his 67 years (he said he started doing business at the age of 13 and I believe he is 81 this year) of enterpreneural experiences. This along with the way he conducts his business and rear his children especially Lance is his great contribution to Philippine society.

I believe they are one of those conglomerates who take the delicate balance of creating value for all their stakeholders. Their airline, telecom and food companies operate the way a sensitive and responsible business should be run in a country stricken by poverty. I hope the economy gets better and we can be sure, John and Lance works toward the greater benefits of the Philippines and the Filipino people. Mabuhay kayo!

just accessed your website for some research that i can use as extra material as i will be one of the hosts for the upcoming team building seminar on nov 24 onwards. Mr. Gokongwei’s speech was both technical and emotional in my book. 2 perfect ingredients to enrich any individual with knowledge and motivation that will help them grow in the field they are currently in. i was inspired by John’s emphasis on the importance of family and his vision to share his strength towards non family members. it is somewhat releiving to safely assume that employees under URC are in the hands of a responsible leader.
