Kim Chiu explores the flavors of Shanghai in new commercial
From Payless comes a new and colorful TV commercial (TVC) showcasing the unique Asian flavors of bustling Shanghai. The commercial features Kim Chiu, one of the country’s brightest young stars, who discovers the ultimate Shanghai-inspired taste and savory goodness in the newest offering from Payless— Payless Pancit Shanghai.
In the commercial, Kim navigates her way through the sights, sounds, and wonderful aromas of cosmopolitan Shanghai in the search for the perfect noodles with that distinct and authentic Asian taste. True enough, she finds it in the heart of Shanghai with the two new variants of Payless Pancit Shanghai: Oriental and Pata Tim flavors. “Dito ko nadiscover ang pancit na hinahanap ko, ‘yung para sa akin walang sawa factor!” she exclaims.
Ingenuity, creativity and cutting-edge technology were instrumental in bringing Shanghai’s exciting vibe to life. And with the guiding vision of director Joey Agbayani, the TVC was able to capture the unique Shanghai experience on screen.
“My intention for the Tvc was to make it look fun and young” said Joey Agbayani. “Kim made this so easy to achieve” he added, “she was totally comfortable in front of the camera and her personality shone through. She made it feel like we were really enjoying the wonderful cuisine in Shanghai.”
At the shoot, Kim Chiu showed why she’s one of the country’s top rising stars today. With poise, a youthful personality and the kind of professionalism normally found in veteran performers, Kim commanded the screen with her appealing charisma and irresistible charm. “I always strive to give my best in everything I do, especially when it comes to acting which I really love doing,” Kim said. “And even though I’m always busy, I still find time to enjoy the things that make me happy like being with friends and treating myself to my favorite things to eat.”
