URC joins Pahiyas Festival fun in Quezon

One of the most colorful and vibrant celebrations in the country is the Feast of San Isidro in Lucban, Quezon, also known as the Pahiyas, where people give thanks to the Farmer Patron Saint for a bountiful year of harvest. Held every May, the festival that highlights the tradition of adorning homes with colored kiping or wafers made of rice, never fails to delight locals and foreigners alike. This year’s Pahiyas was made more special by Universal Robina Corporation (URC), which added delicious treats to the menu.

Doubling the attendees’ fun were URC products such as the truly Filipino Blend 45 coffee, the cool Maxx Iceman candy, the classic favorite Presto Creams and the rich tomato sauces of Hunt’s.

The URC team also joined the parade along Concepcion Street where the festivities took place, bringing their own street dancers to liven up the crowd. The fun promo gimmicks that URC prepared were also warmly accepted by the Festival goers, allowing some of them to bring home many of their favorite URC products.

URC continues to showcase its commitment to Filipino culture by helping keep Philippine Fiestas extra-enjoyable and extra-delicious. Watch out for URC products in other upcoming festivals and fiestas, and celebrate the bounty of delicious food, great people, and fun moments with URC.
